Deas Vail release a new EP featuring 6 poetic and emotionally filled, acoustic, rare and unreleased tracks, titled The Side Effect EP, available digitally from Mono vs Stereo, on June 26.

"We're excited about "The Side Effect" EP as a compilation of songs that are special to us but haven't had the attention they deserve. "The Side Effect" is one of our favorite songs from the self-titled recording sessions because we really stretched ourselves in it. We were able to create some great moments in that song. Although it didn't fit into what we were doing on the self-titled album, we always hoped to release an EP anchored by that song. Unnatural Ceilings was almost the title of the self-titled album, but after multiple sequences for the record, it just didn't fit into the final mix even though it's a strong song for us. We're proud to finally get these songs out to our fans." Explains singer Wes Blaylock

Straight from the Deas Vail vault The Side Effect EP contains previously unreleased songs "Unnatural Ceilings" & "The Side Effect," the rare recordings of "Gone," "Under Our Skin" & "All Eyes Are On You Now" and an acoustic version of "Sixteen."

The Side Effect EP is available at:

When Deas Vail formed in 2003, Blaylock says the goal was to back his own acoustic singer-songwriter project, with no bigger picture in mind than friends having fun. "We didn't think we'd be doing it professionally years later," he says. But three albums and three EPs later the band has proven themselves as a formidably tight unit. "The rapport and chemistry has gotten deeper," he says. "We've gotten braver, we weren't in any boxes and we could just do whatever we wanted. Be experimental and try different ideas, move forward and do new things. We're still growing, still writing better songs."

Deas Vail is: Wes Blaylock - Vocals, Keys, Laura Blaylock - Keys, Synth, Wes Saunders - Drums, Andy Moore- Guitar and Justin Froning - Bass.

Mono vs. Stereo, is a partnership between Gotee Records and Relient K.
